RAJIV GANDHI WATER SPORTS COMPLEX
Hub of Adventurous Water Sports
Centrally Located in Port Blair, Rajiv Gandhi Water Sports Complex is a famous landmark of Port Blair. It has a life-size statue of former Prime Minister of India Mr. Rajiv Gandhi.
This place is known as Water Sports Complex. It offers a variety of adventure water sports activities, like Parasailing, jet ski, banana ride, sofa ride and speed boating. Scuba diving and Snorkelling facilities are not available here. North Bay Island is the heaven for underwater sports.
North Bay Island and Ross Island is accessible by Ferries which depart from Aberdeen jetty, located inside this complex.
There are two entrances. The main entrance leads to the Jetty through a pathway built over the sea. However, the other entry point connects to Marina Park, popular place which is like a street bazaar and an evening hangout place for locals.
No entry fee for visitors. You can take a stroll inside the complex and enjoy the serene beauty of the place. You can pay for the water sports, if you wish to take a nice spin.
CELLULAR JAIL
Popularly known as KALA-PANI, a dreaded penal colony under the British regime, Cellular Jail was converted to a national monument after India’s Independence.
The Cellular Jail, was used by the British to imprison the Political activists, who raised the word agaist them.
Isolated from mainland India, this prison was made in such a way that no prisoner can ever escape this jail. It was built in such a manner that prisoners cannot communicate amongst each other.
This jail is a rumination of the brutal colonial rule in India. Archeologic Survey of India organises A light and sound show program in the evening which walks you through the story of the brutal colonial rule in India. This is a major attraction for travellers. This show is organized in the open air.

CORBYN’S COVE BEACH
Located within the Port Blair city limits. Nearly 6-7 km from the city centre, Corbyn’s Cove offers enchanting views of the vast Andaman Sea.
You can enjoy adventure water sports, like jet skiing and parasailing, in the afternoon. This beach is one of the most stunning places in Port Blair and you should not miss this when you are in Port Blair.
It is a great place to relax and Sun Bath in the beautiful panoramas. Swimming is not permitted at this beach.
NORTH BAY ISLAND

ROSS ISLAND
Another famous historical island of Andaman is a rose Island, an illustration of the British ruled area. You may explore the essence of the time before the independence of India through some historical and ancient places. Some important places to visit in Ross Island are – pre Independence time’s Church, swimming pool, ballroom, Government house, etc. Also, nature is overwhelmed by the beautiful decoration of palms trees. You may see peacocks, ducks roaming there. Ross Island is situated at a distance of 15 minutes from Port Blair.

SAMUDRIKA MARINE MUSEUM

The museum exhibits a vast assortment of corals, sea-shells and fossils of marine mortals. It is segregated into five sections, such as artifacts related to history, topography and native culture of the Andaman Islands.
CHATHAM SAW MILL
Chatham Saw Mill is one of the oldest saw mills in Asian Sub Continent, dates back to 1883 in British Empire.
The complex consists of Forest museum, a timber stripping unit and a Japanese bunker. The museum contains several wooden artifacts, created using locally grown wood.
The Japanese bombs destroyed the mill during the World War II, there is a bomb crater in the compound. It complex was rebuilt after India’s independence; the same old machines are still operational.

CHIDIYA TAPU– Bird Island
One of Most Beautiful Places in Port Blair, Located some 20 km from Port Blair city, Chidiya Tapu is famous for viewing sunset. This beach is home to Migratory Birds, hence know as Chidiya Tapu (Bird Island).
Enjoy a gentle amble along the quiet coastline or sit there and relax in nature’s midst. The blue-water sea in the backdrop of fallen trees is a sight to behold. Those trees were uprooted, when a devastating Tsunami struck Andaman in 2004.
Besides this, it also offers trekking opportunities. The Munda Pahad trek begins from this beach and passes through lush green forests.
How to Reach Port Blair
Port Blair is well connected by multiple Airlines operating from Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai and Hyderabad.
The Alternative: Take a voyage from Vizag port or Chennai port. Voyage travel isn’t suggested on the grounds that it takes 2 days to arrive at Port Blair.
